Engineering for Public Works (EPW) is the quarterly e-journal of IPWEAQ. Each issue features innovative projects, technical articles and case studies plus community news, member profiles, reports from our the President, branch presidents and CEO, and reports from our subsidiary, the Queensland Water Directorate aka qldwater.
You can claim CPD hours for private study which extends your knowledge and skills in your area of practice and/or in the core areas of risk management, business and management skills. This includes the reading of books, journals, manuals etc. Reading EPW and the monthly IPWEAQ newsletter, Connect may contribute up to 18 CPD hours for every three year period. Note: Evidence required includes date of readings, title, author and time invested.
The total claimable CPD hours for learning activities in the workplace and private study combined is 110 hours over three years.
You can also earn up to 45 CPD hours for articles prepared for and published in the journal. This can be claimed if the material is prepared by you, outside your employment, and the article contributes to the advancement of the profession.
